Antique gothic wrought iron dragon/serpent picture frame, hand forged

Unique, hand forged picture (or mirror) frame with a dragon or serpent climbing one side. Nicely made, intricate iron work, this is not signed or marked but clearly an antique. There are drilled holes at top of post and on the base underneath it, this may have had a small light at one time? Frame would hold a roughly 6" x 4" picture Good condition. Displays very well, no repairs, no cracks, no breaks, no loss etc. The finish shows typical patina, signs of age, surface marks or scuffs here and there, moderate surface corrosion in places. Antique piece that shows its age but no signs of abuse or modifications. Holes on the post and base indicate this may have had a small light or been electrified in some manner.
