Made from 3/16" diameter brass ball, all you do is loop it over the hub and let it buzz. Adds a wonderful slow decay buzz to any cymbal tap. Brass is an ideal metal for this type of application in that it reacts quickly and has a unique, attractive tone. This is NOT your dime store lightweight decorative brass chain. This is heavy duty industrial grade brass ball chain. You can tell as soon as you grab it. Hi strength, polished to a sheen. The chain is easily snipped should you require a different length. OUR FAVORITE REVIEW - No questions, just positive observation on the performance of the sizzler chain. First, it is as you say--it provides a very nice, natural sound. It is great for rock, but jazz requires the subtler high frequency sparkle this provides. It is not loud or artificial sounding, but easy on the ear. Being of good weight, the chain does not fly around during play, but remains in contact with the cymbal brass during harder hits. It does result in faster decay, but sometimes that is desired for control of over ring.
