Here we have a beautiful full sized Canoe paddle from I'm guessing Papua New Guinea. The paddle is beautifully carved with geometric designs along the upper blade, and having a zoomorphic carved pommel. The paddle has an all-over patina of light use, and clear signs of hand tooling of the wood through out.The piece measures: 78" long x 5 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" deep. (the blade = 26 1/2' long, and pommel = 8 1/2").
