M-5356 is a 5% magnesium all position non-heat treatable wire used to weld the 5XXX series alloys with some common welding applications such as boats, ships, bicycles, trucks, pressure vessels, automotive parts and equipment. Increased levels of Mg, Ti and Mn along with the addition of chrome, a slight reduction in silicon. These changes work together to increase its corrosion resistance, making it the best Alumium for use in or near saltwater. Commonly used on 5050, 5052, 5083, 5356, 5454 and is the second most widely Used aluminium filler metal. Melting range of 1060-1175℉, a density of 0.96 lbs/ci and a typical tensile strength of 38,000psi. Its post anodizing
