U.S. Grant Let Us Have Peace Crystal Memorial Plate USPG c1885 Civil War Peace

U.S. Grant - Crystal Memorial Plate - Civil War Peace - This is an early U.S. Pattern Glass plate by Gillinder and Sons and is from 1885 or 1886. On the plate is “Born April 27, 1822” and “Died July 23, 1885” inside around the image of Grant and on the outer leaf rim is the “Let Us Have Peace” and “U.S. Grant”. The plate is heavy, thick glass and a great antique collectible to own as a historical collectible and family heirloom for future generations. Plate is crystal clear and the pattern is well detailed, stands out nicely and displays beautifully. There is a chip to the back side of one leaf point right by the E of peace. The third photo shows the back of the plate and the fourth photo shows a closeup of the chip by the E. From the front you barely can see the chip Grant was an American Civil War hero and was later elected the 18th President of the United States serving from 1869 to 1877. The plate weighs 1 pound 12 ounces so shipping will be in the 2 to 3 pound range so I can double box it for protection.. It will be mailed USPS Ground Advantage with tracking and insurance.
