After removing it from the intake, clean the throttle body with an aerosol solvent carburetor/fuel injection cleaner and small brush, or cotton cloth. Pay particular attention to the throttle butterfly, which is attached with small screws (often staked to the throttle pivot to prevent removal) but you don’t need to remove it to clean it. Replace the throttle body:You will need: Gasket Scraper, Pier Assortment, Screwddriver Assortment, Socket Set, Wrench SetSTEP 1Disconnect the negative battery terminal.STEP 2Disconnect the breather hoses attached to the inlet tube.STEP 3Loosen the clamps at each end of the inlet tube，at the throttle body and at the air filter box.Remove the inlet tube and set it aside.STEP 4Unplug the electrical connector from the side cover of the throttle body.Pull the black wire harness mount out of the hole in the throttle body.STEP 5Unbolt the throttle body from the intake manifold and remove.STEP 6Wipe off the rubber o-ring gasket as it will be reused with the throttle body.STEP 7Using the supplied bolts,install the throttle body onto the intake manifold and tighten the bolts.Reconnect the electrical connection.STEP 8The stock air inlet tube will work with the throttle body. Just open the clamp all the way up before installing. Trim off the 2 small tabs on the top of the stock rubber inlet tube so it will fit all the way onto the throttle body. A little WD-40 or light grease may help this process.STEP9With the inlet tube installed and the clamps tight.reconnect the breather hoses.Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
