Listing details
A set of photos from WW1 depicting what I believe to be American officers performing a field test on the M1917 6 ton tank. In this test they appear to be testing the trench crossing ability and you can see in one picture where the tank is on its side. A very rare set of photographs, and I am speculating, given the other photographs this was found with, likely very early in the implementation of the tank service. I have several other photographs from this collection, and they all seem to be either early prototypes or tanks being tested before use. I think they may have been from someone associated with the Holt Caterpillar company. Measures approximately 3 1/2 by 2 3/4 Box J 08192021Weight 0 ounces
