NGC PF67 1936 Mercury (Winged Liberty) Dime PROOF This classic design was created by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman ( who also designed the Walking Liberty Half Dollar). The Philadelphia Mint began producing proof coins in 1936 for the first time in 20 years. They had stopped due to lack of public interest- this led to only 4,130 1936 proof dimes being struck. This is an extremely low mintage, by comparison the rare and beloved Carson City minted Morgan dollars averaged 750,000 per year with 228,000 being the rarest year (1882). This is a lightly toned PF67 example certified by NGC ( Numismatic Guaranty Corporation ). You will receive the same coin and certificate number shown in photos.FREE USPS PRIORITY MAIL WITH TRACKING AND INSURANCE!
