A beautiful Japanese Kakiemon-style porcelain covered bowl with “Fu” mark at the base. The overglaze enameled ceramics from Arita, Japan, is decorated with high-quality, delicate, and well-balanced asymmetric designs of red prunus blossoms on the fine white porcelain body in polychrome enamels. Kakiemon porcelain was popular in Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries. The style is named after the Kakiemon kiln, where the ceramics were originally produced. This piece likely dates to the Edo period (17th-19th century) and it is in excellent condition.
