I purchased this unique piece of steampunk industrial decor at a flea market in Paris. This vintage French brass water meter gauge cover cap with glass has a lovely art nouvaeu design of a woman.Stamped from Montrouge, an area in the southern suburbs of Paris along the Seine River. Stamped 19383" in diameterI'm unsure of the maker. The only mark is stamped under the brass lid and is a Chippewa Copper mark typically found on copper products made in the copper mining area in Michigan, but this is made of brass, so uncertain.
