This large pedestal is from France and it dates to the late 1800's. It is carved from solid oak. The height makes it especially useful as a display stand for a bust since it will place the face of the bust at roughly eye level. The same will apply for any medium

size piece of art, a plant or a flower arrangement. The dark oak coloring with impressive three dimensional carvings make this piece very unique! It is in very good antique condition with small nicks and scratches. Note that there are several large cracks throughout the piece that are to be expected (see photos).
