Das Werk Item Number DW16005 is a 1:16 scale, highly detailed static plastic model featuring a detailed running gear with torsion bar suspension, replicating the original. It includes workable tracks and suspension, a full interior with a detailed engine, and openable engine cover plates. The model’s floor plate segments can be displayed individually, with detachable interior floor plates. Its armour has realistic welds, crafted from multiple split armour plates, and doors can be built open or closed. The swinging front axle with a steering angle can also be displayed, along with a detailed brake and fuel system. The model offers four marking options but does not include figures. The Sd.Kfz. 251 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 251) was a German armoured half-track infantry fighting vehicle from World War II, developed by the Hanomag company, based on the unarmoured Sd.Kfz. 11 half-track vehicle. With over 15,252 vehicles and variants produced by seven manufacturers, the Sd.Kfz. 251 became the most frequently produced German half-track vehicle of the war. This model represents the standard personnel carrier version, the 251/1 Ausf.D, with marking options for: 4. Fallschirmjager-Division, March/April 1944, Italy, Anzio Area; Panzergrenadier-Regiment 25 (12. Panzer-Division), November 1944, Eastern Front, Kurland; 2. SS-Panzer-Division ‘Das Reich,’ July 1944, France, Normandy, Periers Area; and 97. Jaeger-Division, April 1945, Eastern Front, Bohemia, Deutschbrod.
