MaterialBicron BC408 Plastic Scintillator block with peak emission at about 425nm, custom made for use with a SensL 60035 C-series SiPM. These blocks are cut with a watersaw approximately 5cm x 5cm x 1cm and should be further polished for optimal use. Instructions for further polishing are included with purchase. You will need at least 4 grades of wet sandpaper (~120, 220, 400, 1000 grit) to finish properly. These blocks are custom cut for use in the CosmicWatch project, Cosmic Ray Muon Detector. size or finish.These are virgin "water cooled cut" scintillator blocks. I never use standard saws that cause friction and heat during cutting process, or recommend heat polishing of a scintillator. Cutting and polishing of scintillator plastic can be difficult and costly without proper know-how and equipment.
