To disconnect a microinverter from the Engage Cable, insert the two large prongs of the disconnect tool (shown above) into the two holes in the drop connector. Rock the connector back and forth while pulling gently to disengage.This tool also has tabs for disconnecting the locking H4 and MC4 solar connectors (see diagram in pictures)! So this tool serves two functions; It will disconnect an Enphase inverter from the engage cable connector and Will also disconnect any MC4 or H4 solar cable connector connections!
