The soldiers' morale was low due to being kept in service after the war and they engaged in small mutinies, leading to their repatriation in 1946 and the unit's disbandment in 1949. While in Palestine, they were involved in railway construction work and some members were awarded medals for their servicePurpose and service: The APC was originally recruited for light engineering and logistical support during WWII, serving in campaigns in the Middle East and Italy. After the war, they were transferred to Palestine.Conditions in Palestine: Soldiers reported poor morale and expressed feelings of being exploited, which led to several small mutinies.Repatriation and disbandment: The last APC companies returned home in the spring of 1946, and the unit was officially disbanded in 1949.Legacy: Despite the issues in Palestine, the APC's military contribution was considered valuable.
