I have for sale a medal for the 1893 Columbian Exposition that was held in Chicago, Illinois. The medal is aluminum, 1 3/4 inch in diameter (44mm), 2 1/2 mm thick, and in uncirculated condition, see photos. This medal is listed in the So Called Dollar catalog as HK 174, the Eglit catalog as and in the new Starlust catalog as ST-eg-9. One side shows the exposition buildings and grounds on a globe and in small letters on the glove, it reads, WORLD'S COLUMBIAN EXPOSITION - CHICAGO, 1892-3. At the rim it reads WORLDS-FAIR - SOUVENIR. The other side shows a Columbus landing scene on a globe and on the globe in small letters, it reads, LANDING OF COLUMBUS IN AMERICA - OCTOBER 12TH 1492.
