This is the deluxe edition of “Rewards of Merit: Tokens of a Child's Progress and a Teacher's Esteem as an enduring aspect of American Religious and Secular Education,” published by the Ephemera Society of America, New York, 1994. This set includes one of the 175 signed special copies of the book published in beautiful quarter leather by Patricia Fenn and Alfred P. Malpa, but it also comes in a giant box with a chemise-protected portfolio of painstakingly-reproduced fine examples of ephemera related to the subject. While the book, and even the signed limited edition of the book, are widely and easily available, this edition almost never turns up in commerce. Other than a few smudges on the box (pictured) everything about this is in fine condition. A wonderful set for lovers of ephemera, rewards of merit, etc.
