1921 Rookwood Pottery Large 9" Matte Mint Green Bowl Grape Vine

Handsome large Rookwood pottery bowl, dated 1921 (XXI) with the impressed Rookwood mark and the shape number of 2168.Vibrant 'mint' green

color in a matte glaze, over grapes, vines and leaves. The glaze has some normal runs and drips that always makes this art pottery interesting. Great Arts & Crafts styling!Measures 9" across to the outside edge, inner opening is 7.25"; 3.5" deep/tall. Weighs almost 3lbs unpacked! An impressive bowl. Large enough to be used as a catchall on a desk for small books, cards, bills or other papers. Very good condition with no damage - no chips, hairlines, repairs or crazing. A few very tiny glaze bubbles scattered over the outside but nothing particularly noticeable. The interior has a 2" area of what looks like tape residue and a group of tiny firing bubbles in the very center. Nothing major but I like to be specific on condition.An outstanding piece of Rookwood for your collection! It will be packed securely to arrive safely.
