High grade dark blue/ black flint no heat treat needed since this is some of the highest grade flintknapping material. But a heat treated will make a difference making the flakes go farther when your pressure flaking making razor sharp and thin arrowheads. this blue/ black Georgetown comes in veins and I only get about 5 thousand pound a year.which usually Sell out in a couple of weeks to months.This is large heat treated spalls works even better all though it lamps good regardless.the heat treated spalls makes it even better for really thin blades and points
