Here is a small handy grinding jig that is easy to use. Set your grinder tool rest at 10-15 degrees. Clamp the tool bit in the jig, and work the jig back and forth across the grinding wheel keeping the face of the jig and the face of the wheel parallel to each other. This jig will speed up grinding 60 degree points on your tool bits. It will help as a guide to grind 3/8" wide tool bits for thread cutting. It is machined from a solid block of aluminum. It is approximately 3.5 inches long x 3/4" thick x 1.5" wide. The slots are approximately wide. There are three 1/4-20 threaded positions to clamp down on a bit. You could also use this jig to grind narrower bits. Just push them to one side and shim beside the bit and under the clamp. Please Note: The Tool bit, Center Gauge and Ruler are not included. You will get the aluminum slotted jig and a new brass thumb screw with washer that make up the clamp. Made in the USA in a Small New Hampshire Shop.
