An original photograph of magician and memory expert William Berol (1875-1922). Early in his career, he worked as a rag artist with his brother and Nate Leipzig. By the time this photo was taken, he was distrubutor of the Berol Course of Memory Training. It is said that he could memorize a dictionary page in under 5 minutes. I am not sure who the lady in this photograph is, but my guess is that it’s his wife or a secretary. He was also close friends with Houdini, and his sister-in-law, Madame Konorah, was a pioneering female magician. Measures 8.5 x 6.5 inches. With a missing corner, but in very good condition overall.
