Magnification recommended for better viewing as most insects in amber are small (larger insects were more able to free themselves and so are less common). Most of these pieces have smaller insects. Each piece will come in a display (mostly round gem jars, but for larger pieces we may use a different type of display so that it fits). Each piece is unique - some will be small with a nice clear inclusion. Others may be larger, contain multiple inclusions, or be more like a treasure hunt to find the insect. But each piece is good quality and guaranteed to have at least one fossil insect. Magnification recommended for examining, as most insects that were trapped in amber were small (larger insects were usually able to free themselves from the sticky resin). Fossil inclusions in amber are the most spectacularly preserved fossils in the entire fossil record. For the rest of the fossil record, you will occasionally have soft tissue preservation. However, in amber the preservation is so extraordinary you can sometimes see every facet of the insects eye. There is an enormous degree of biodiversity preserved, providing a glimpse into past ecosystems. Amber truly is a window into the past. Every piece is guaranteed genuine.
