Very rare, antique "Post Lantern B" navigational lantern. It is in very good condition for its age (circa 1877). It appears to have been dropped at some time long ago as the bottom rim is bent/dented. There is also a hairline crack in the top brass flange where the tank sits. See the last photo. It is unnoticeable unless you are looking for it. The lens is in excellent condition with only two small chips on it. No cracks.The glass is very clean and clear. The fuel tank is in very good condition as well. I do not have the kerosene lamp for it. The lantern measures approximately 27" tall. The bottom rim is 12" in diameter. The fuel tank is almost 14 1/2" in diameter. It weighs 25 pounds. Please carefully review all photos as they are part of the description.
