Here we have an amber pint strap sided blown in mold/tooled lip flask embossed on the front “Chas. C. Rugers/Wines & Liquors/Houston, Texas.” Bottle is 7-1/4” tall and is in fair condition with a 3/8” wide fisheye or flash in the side, a shallow 1/8” flake off the rear base, two 1/16” wide fisheyes in the lip, and and some overall interior and exterior haze but no other chips, cracks, or other damage. None of the damage is visible from the front.Charles C. Rugers owned the Shell Grotto Bar on 1105 Congress Avenue in Houston, Texas in the late 1890’s and early 1900’s. In my opinion these amber flasks are some of the nicest looking flasks from Houston. The pints are VERY hard to find as they were often broken due to their large size/surface area.
