Rare Vintage Pop-up Cards, Set of 3, by Olive Fell, Circa 1940’s-50's. The "Vintage Greeting Cards" are a collectible set of 3 cards pop-up cards, designed, created and printed by artist Olive in her studio in Wapiti, WY(5 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches). They are not sold with envelopes. Olive Fell was born in Montana near Big Timber and moved to Cody, WY, as a young child. She was skilled in printmaking, painting, and sculpting and spent most of her career as an etcher. She was best known for her whimsical bear art. Many of her works can be viewed at The Whitney Western Art Museum in Cody, Wyoming.Olive Fell gained notoriety with her Avant-Garde etching in 1934, "For Minds to Know", selected by The Society of American Etchers as one of the 100 best prints of the year. For more information about Olive Fell there is an educational video on YouTube, "The Story of Artist Olive Fell". The paper shows age with slight wearing on the folded edges but the
color is vibrant. The logos on the back are different than most of the Olive Fell cards that one finds.
