Vntg Simplex Patent Solid Copper Chromed Tea Kettle Pot 400709-402190 England Md

Found this recently in storage, forgot about it, I've cleaned it as best as I can. This is a vintage or antique Simplex model 400709-402190 from England. It is supposed to be a whistling teapot. I didn't put it on my electric stovetop, but when I was washing it, I heard it whistle as I was running water through it. I didn't want to put it on the outside grill and get it dirty again. It says it is solid copper, a magnet doesn't stick to it, so it is what it says it is. It is chromed as well, so it's nice and shiny looking. there are a few minor dents and signs of usage along the bottom portion. Under the black wood handle has some of the black rubbed off. It could be touched up with a black magic marker, but I like to disclose everything without trying to hide anything. The bottom definitely has been put on high flames over the years, but I kept water in it overnight, and it holds water just fine. It appears to be dark from long usage years ago. The chrome for the most part is nice and shiny. Some areas below the middle rim has something that I didn't want to risk scratching it to take off that I call smutz. The copper is showing through under the pot, see photos. I polished it as best as I could. I've tried to photograph the minor dents, smutz, and dark areas so please see all photos as part of the description. Non smoking home. It weighs 2# 4 ounces unboxed and unpacked.
