The magnificent design is woven in gold brocade (honkinpaku) silk, showing nobles, carriages, and attendants in graceful harmony. It represents the height of Japanese textile artistry and traditional Nishijin weaving. Material: 100% Silk with Gold Thread Design: “Tōfukumon’in Nyūnai-zu” – Procession Scene with Nobles Technique: Woven with gold and colored silk threads Length: Approx. 430 cm (169 in) Width: Approx. 31 cm (12.2 in) Condition: Excellent – No noticeable stains or damage Made in Japan The Tale of Genji Picture Scrolls (Genji Monogatari Emaki) are among the oldest surviving examples of Japanese narrative painting (emaki). The scrolls combine paintings and calligraphy in a continuous horizontal format, portraying the refined aesthetics, emotions, and elegant court life of the Heian aristocracy. They are considered National Treasures of Japan and represent the pinnacle of Yamato-e style painting. Condition Excellent condition. Lightly used but no noticeable stains or damage.
