Made in Japan, this Grand Seiko Sport model exudes quality and craftsmanship.This example was purchased pre-owned in April 2025 from the previous owner. I've given the quartz movement a fresh battery and lightly only worn the watch since then. The movement is Grand Seiko's High Accuracy 9F Quartz movement, and keeps nearly perfect time. This version comes with a jumping main hour hand, functioning as a true "traveler's" GMT. The jumping hour hand also changes the date, and includes the added benefit of being able to advance the date backwards if needed.The hands and indices contain a modest amount of lume. To be honest, their brightness is not the best, owing to their small size, but their longevity is at least serviceable for use in the middle of the night. Because this is a high accuracy quartz movement, you can rely on it always being running and accurate even as you rotate through the rest of your collection.The watch comes with a number of scratches and other cosmetic marks. The most noticeable marks are on the 24-hour bezel (between the 1 and 2 markers and another between the 4 and 5 markers). The zaratsu polished chamfers (including the crown guards) also have smaller hairline scratches, but still retain their signature deeply reflective effect that Grand Seiko is known for. Finally, the bracelet and clasp also have a similar number of hairline scratches. While definitely not in new condition, the wear seems consistent with the watch's age (dated 2019 on the warranty card).
