DUTCH WINDMILL CLOCK "Le Beau Moulin" A unique and exquisite clock, made in Switzerland in the late 1800's, featuring: - A hand-painted scene (4" x 3") (in gilded frame with bevel-edged glass) of three women in front of a Dutch windmill, sailboats in background. - A small clock set inside the windmill tower. - Windmill automaton atop, rotating together with clock movement. - Marble base 5" x 1.5" supporting the clockwork scene. - Signed: Didsheim Goldschmidt Fils & Co., Fabr. Suisse, Serial # 59262 - Engraved title on rear reads: "Le Beau Moulin" (The Beautiful Mill") - Marked 8-14-36, which is probably the date of an earlier servicing, not of manufacture.
