Chronicles the author's experiences from the time he was shot down flying his 25th mission over North Vietnam in 1966 through his 7 years at the "Hanoi Hilton" as a POW. Labeled a diehard by his enemies, he and 10 other prisoners thought to be serious threats to the war efforts of Ho Chi Minh were banished to a high-security prison unit where they endured leg irons, malnutrition, and extremely primitive conditions.
