New CD MOUNT EERIE WITH JULIE DORION -Lost Wisdom Pts. 1 & 2- from Japan Description Losing love, finding love, parting again... and now it's all in song This is the sequel to the critically acclaimed personal series [A Crow Looked At Me] & [Now Only], and the second beautiful collaboration album with her long-time friend Julie Doiron after 11 years. The CD will only be released in Japan, and will be a special 2-disc set with the first collaboration of 2008 (first released in Japan)! * Mount Eyrie-Phil Elverum's series of albums, [A Crow Looked At Me] (2017) and [Now Only] (2018), were produced in succession on the theme of the death of his beloved partner, who died just one and a half years after the birth of their first child. Both albums, which Robin Pecknold of Fleet Foxes said "created an emotion never before seen," are drawn with extremely personal words and a restrained sound that extracts the beauty of the melody to the utmost, and have received overwhelming acclaim from media, artists, and audiences, and have recorded the highest sales in his career, including his time with The Microphones, the predecessor band. After a spectacular performance featuring songs from the [Crow] series on his Japan tour in April 2018, Elverum will temporarily halt his musical activities. However, as Elverum himself wrote in the US version of this album's notes, "Nothing stays the same," he has returned with new songs after some (and very big) personal changes. His collaborator is Julie Doiron, a winner of the Juno Award, the Canadian equivalent of the Grammy, and a musical idol of Elverum's since his days with Sub Pop's first Canadian band, Eric's Trip, who has a rich singing voice. This work is titled the sequel (Part 2) to the masterpiece [Lost Wisdom], which was produced in 2008 with Doiron as a duet partner, and also tells the story of the [Crow] series. The Microphones - Mount Eary and Elvram's long career has seen this most intimate, melodic and simple masterpiece, highly acclaimed since their previous collaboration (Pitchfork Best New Music) and their wonderful joint set on their 2010 Japan tour. Even after a long time has passed since then, the beauty and floating feeling of the restrained voices, melodies and harmonies of the two are still alive and well. This quiet, moving work is the final chapter of the [Crow] series and also a new starting point. *Like Mount Eary's recent works, this album will only be available in analog and digital formats outside of Japan, and the CD version will be released only in Japan. It is a two-disc set that also includes a bonus disc of [Lost Wisdom] (part 1), which was not released in Japan when it was released in 2008. Both albums come with lyric translations.
