Original lithographed theater poster by John J. Sorbie entitled "LUV by Murray Schisgal".Sorbie (1928-1995) was a noted Colorado artist. Internationally esteemed as a poster designer, he taught for many years at Colorado State University where in 1958, he established it's graphic arts department. Sorbie was also instrumental in founding the Colorado International Invitational Poster Exhibition held biannually in Fort Collins. In 2016 a retrospective of his poster work was shown at the Denver Art Museum. Size of the sheet is 22 1/2 x 17. Name printed lower left. A striking, superbly rendered work.
