DK-0.2 ДК-0,2 Direct Indicating Ionization DosimeterDirect-indicating ionization radiation dose meter is an individual dosimeter that provides measurement of absorbed doses of gamma-neutron radiation in the range from 10 to 200 milliroentgen. Dose counting is carried out on a scale with a titanium thread, which is placed inside the dosimeter and closed with a transparent plastic plug. It consists of a cylindrical metal body, an ionization chamber with electrodes, a microscope with 90-fold magnification for counting dosimeter readings (consists of an eyepiece, objective, and reference scale), an electroscope, and a condenser. The dosimeter body is covered with a protective plastic transparent frame to protect the diaphragm from contamination.The device is made in the form of a silver metal fountain pen with a spring-loaded holder for attaching to clothing. The ionization chamber is placed in a metal screen (the silver case of the dosimeter), which completely isolates the chamber from the penetration of beta particles into it. Thus, ionization of the gas inside the chamber can occur only due to gamma and neutron radiation. The principle of operation of the dosimeter: when ionizing radiation affects the charged dosimeter, an ionization current arises in the volume of the ionization chamber, which reduces the potential of the capacitor and the ionization chamber. The decrease in potential is proportional to the radiation dose. By measuring the change in potential, one can judge the dose received. The potential is measured using a small-sized electroscope, which is placed in the middle of the ionization chamber. The deviation of the moving part of the electroscope — a platinum filament — is measured on a numerical scale, which is graduated in milliroentgens from 0 to 200.
