EXTRA INFOPHOTO HANGAR AT NORTH EAST CORNER OF FORMER RAF YATESBURY AIR BASE WWI HANGAR AT FORMER RAF YATESBURY WEST CAMP AIR BASE. THIS HANGAR BUILT IN 1916 FOR THE SERVICING AND REPAIR OF AIRCRAFT WAS TIMBER-FRAMED WITH CORRUGATED IRON CLADDING AND TARRED ROOFING FELT TO A CURVED AND BOARDED ROOF (SEE AND TAKEN IN 2005). THE BUILDING IS RECTANGULAR IN PLAN WITH FULL-WIDTH GABLE END OPENINGS AND LEAN-TO ANNEXES AND A BRICK CHIMNEY FOR A SEMI-SUNK BOILER HOUSE ON THE NORTH SIDE.
