This silk is great for quilting, décor, dress, bags, doll making, fabric art, nuno felting, patchwork, or other textile projects. You will receive the same sari remnant/fabric that you see in the listing image. The silk is recycled vintage Sari silk, and can therefore have small blemishes. Wash and Care Instructions for Silk Items: - Never Machine-Wash silk items. - Take a large bucket or basis and fill it with cold or lukewarm water. Take some gentle detergent and add few drops in to the bucket. Then mix the water with your hands so as to mix the detergent with the water. Pit the silk saree in the bucket and make sure the whole saree is submerged in water. Leave the saree untouched for 2 minutes, so that it can soak in as much soap water as possible. Move the saree up and down the water for 4-6 times, so that any residue or dirt gets washed away. After this, take the saree out of the bucket and drain the soap water. Then wash the saree in cold water so as to wash out the soap. Make sure to cover the whole saree, while washing it under cold water. Wash the saree till it is free from soap buds. Do not twist or wring out silk items. Always dry your silk saree in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight. - Always steam iron the silk saree. The iron should be on medium to low heat.
