Antique Copelands Spode Ornate Beaded Jeweled Cobalt Soup Tureen - England

- Beautiful Antique Copelands Spode/Burley & Company Ornate Jeweled Cobalt Soup Tureen.- Originally made in England.- Made sometime between 1891-1923 based on both the Copelands and Burley & Company marks. The Copelands Spode mark was first introduced in the 1890s and was made throughout the 1900s. Burley & Company was only in business from 1884-1923.- Measures 6" tall, 11" long, and 9 1/2" wide.- Ornate gold/painted designs. Jeweled/beaded gold/paint.- Artist decorated China.- Made very well (great craftsmanship).- Leaf designs on the handles and lid handle.- This piece has both a Copelands Mark and a Burley and Company mark. I believe this piece was a Copelands Spode mold, and Burley & Company was the manufacturer who decorated the piece. Marks can be found on the inside of the lid and the bottom.- Condition-wise, this tureen is in great condition. The only damage noted is a small crack on the lid that can be seen both on the inside and outside (please see photos). No chipping, or other cracking.
