Beautiful and vibrant colors! This wooden box shows signs of wear on one corner of the lid and some external cracking on one corner (see final two photos). This could be repaired/painted if desired. Surface wear at the base where the box naturally sits.

Listing details

Lovely wooden trinket, letter or document box rectangular in shape. Painted with flowers and butterflies, it has a bold red interior. There is unfortunately some wear to one corner of the lid and cracking to the paint in one corner. I read these were made in Russia and also Ukraine. I'm uncertain of the history of this specific box. Box excluding the lid measures 10 x 7 x 2 1/2". Weight is ~ 2lbs.
