Santa Claus tosses candy to the children after the GSU band finished playing at St. Jude's Medical Center. Dr. Charles Mary and St. Jude Medical Center brought the Grambling State University Marching Band to the parking lot of the Medical Center for a little Thanksgiving party for the patients, and employees. Dr. Mary was celebrating his first year at St. Jude and decide to thank everyone. Santa Claus was on hand to give the children candy and ice-cream. Parish President Mike Yenni and Kenner's Mayor Aaron Broussard was on hand to greet the band who is in town for the Bayou Classic game in the Superdome. Some patients raised their windows and listened to the band. There were more than 300 people outside. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches. Photo is dated 11-27-1987.
