Gilt titled and decorated spine, with marbled end papers, page edges gilt. viii, [ii], 406pp with an illustrated title page. 13 steel engraved plates, collated and complete, one of the plates is a frontispiece (“The Gipsey’s Prophecy”) rather than at page 15 as listed in the contents. Approximately 8 ¾ inches tall. Condition Report Externally Spine – good condition – gilt titles, 5 raised bands dividing 6 compartments, 5 of which have gilt leaf decoration, worn in places, gently worn top and tail, gently marked, worn and scratched.Joints – good condition – sound, gently rubbed.Corners – good condition – bumped and worn.Boards – good condition – leather quarters, marbled boards, marked and worn.Page edges – good condition – all gilt, top edge slightly darkened.See above and photos.
