this is an early 1900s mezzotint titled " a bachante " engraved by j.r.smith mezzotint engravers to his royal highness the prince of wales . the original was painted by sir joshua reynolds . the print measures 11" -- 9" and the mount is 17" - 14" the name a bachante is under the mount ! this has come out of a very old frame so is not modern . this is in nice used condition with some browning where the mount has been on the paper for a long time requires a back board and reframing to look superb !
