It rests on four scroll feet with foliage attachments. The body is circular and flattened, with a spherical base, a narrow neck with a flat rim, and is flanked by two lateral handles adorned with Bacchus heads. The body features oval medallions on each side, surrounded by flowering stems and Marie Antoinette-style bows, which are echoed on the collar's molding. The domed lid is topped with a finial in the shape of a blooming fruit on a corolla of leaves.Historical Context:Edmond Tétard founded his goldsmithing business in 1880, primarily creating pieces in the Louis XV style. He won a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1889.
