SHELL INFORMATION TYPE - Cowrie Shell.AGE - Approximately 3 million years old, Pliocene era. LOCATION FOUND - Hardee County Central Florida.COLOR - Beige, bluish gray, rust , white. SIZE - 1. 7/8 x 1. 1/8 inches. This shell was recovered from a dig site in Hardee County Central Florida and is most likely from the Pinecrest Beds of the Tamiami Formation. Shells from this area have some incredible
color combinations and are often referred to as * BONE VALLEY BLUES * by collectors.
