img Watchful Eagle Antiques (Please read entire listing carefully, especially Description and Condition portions) Title: 29 VTG Button Lot 1930-60 1 style asymmetrical mod abstract recessed variety Background : We recently acquired a large collection of buttons - over 20 pounds, probably over 10000 pieces. They are primarily from the early 1910s to the 1970s. The collection included buttons made out of the following materials - glass, china, shell, leather, bakelite, celluloid, vegetable ivory, plastic, goodyear, metal, wood, composition, etc. Types included self shanks, metal shanks, 2 hole, 4 hole, whistle, pad, etc. Sizes range from large to diminutive. I have a pretty good background in antiques, but I am not a button expert. I can recognize vintage versus more modern, but other than identifying glass & seashell as a material, my education has been what I have learned over the past few weeks. I have done my best to sort them into related lots and identify materials, but I am sure that I have made some mistakes. Please use your own knowledge & expertise to make decisions. I welcome polite corrections to any mistakes I may have made. Photos show the actual group that will be sent. Please read entire description and view all photos for the best evaluation of lot. Please check our other listings for any other button lots that you may be interested in as we will combine shipping whenever possible.Description: Up for sale is this lot / set of 29 Vintage Buttons, matching style/mold but they are in 4 different sizes & 4 different colors (beige, navy, teal, & olive green/grey). The mold seems to be a recessed asymmetrical circle which reminds me of an modern/ abstract design. Despite, the more modern design, the shank seems older which might mean that these are more Art Deco in the timeline. My best guess is that these date to the 1940s - 1960s. There are 4 different sizes which range from approx. 0.68 - 1.25 inches. They have a wire pin shank. The breakdown of colors & sizes is as follows :For the olive green/grey, there are 15 (2 - 1.25", 2 - 1.0625, 1 - 0.75", & 10 - 0.6875")For the beige, there are 7 (1 - 0.75", & 6 - 0.6875")For the navy blue, there are 5 (1 - 1.25", 1 - 1.0625, & 3 - 0.6875")For the teal blue, there are 2 ( 1 - 0.75", & 1 - 0.6875")Please view all photos. Please check our other listings because we are happy to combine shipping on multiple lots if possible.Size : Range from approx. 0.68" to 1.25". Condition: Most are in very good condition. Please consult all 18 photos as they are the most accurate & concise representation of condition.. Unless Specifically stated as new or unused, many of our items are pre-loved pieces moving on to new homes. This means they may show a certain amount of wear commensurate with their age but I endeavor to identify any significant flaws or damage. Please read the description and condition and most importantly please examine and use photos to aid in your evaluation - you may find it looks better than it sounds. situation warrants. The bidders will be responsible for paying the specified amount. The costs are only applicable to the contiguous 48 states. If multiple items are purchased, a reduced shipping cost will be provided when possible. Alaska, Hawaii and U.S. Territories Buyers: Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii and non-continental U.S. Territories will be calculated after purchase and may require additional shipping cost. If you would like a shipping estimate prior to purchase, please feel free to contact us. International Buyers: We currently participate in Ebay's Global Shipping Program. Please work with the Ebay's Global Shipping group to get shipping estimates and details on the Global Shipping Program process. We have a little bit of everything so please view our other listings. We try our best to accurately describe all items but please view photos as they are the best representation of condition. If you are unsatisfied please contact us before leaving negative feedback. Thanks for viewing and happy bidding!!!! Ours is a smoke free home, but many of our items are purchased second hand and we do not know the situations where they have previously been stored. If we notice the smell of smoke, we do mention it under condition. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
