This vintage Howard Miller “Downing” mantel clock (model 613-192) is a classic shelf or mantel piece featuring a triple chime movement in a mahogany finish. It is in excellent vintage condition and in full working order. A vintage Howard Miller "Downing" Model 163-192. The Downing was manufactured for a number of years with a label inside the case showing this was manufactured 1992 or earlier. The clock features a modified tambour finish in rich Copley Mahogany with beautiful ebony and maple fan marquetry on the front. A rich arch molding graces the front and sides of the case while the cream colored dial features black Roman numerals. This is a key wound, triple chime, German Keininger movement which plays your choice of Westminster, St Michael or Whittington on the quarter hour with full chime and strike on the hour. The German Keininger movements has no pendulum. Original key included. The clock is 18 inches wide at the base, 6 1/2 inches deep and 11 inches high at the crown. The clock is in full working order and we test all clocks two weeks in our shop before listing. The finish has been gently cleaned with a non-abrasive compound and polished with the best hard wax.
