From the estate doll collection of the wife of a retired, military service member who travelled and lived internationally. W&C mark dates this doll reliably from 1912-1926. Age commensurate wear and fading as photographed and shown in video. Leather body is in very good condition for age. Clear that this doll has been lovingly displayed as a cherished part of her collection. I do not claim to be an antique doll expert. "Germany"-From the estate doll collection of an eastern North Carolina military family who traveled and lived abroad for much of their adult lives. -Two short youtube video links below for the best views -From dollreference dot com: "In 1912 Erste Steinbacher Porzellanfabrik was sold to Hugo Wiefel and renamed Wiefel & Comapny, thus a new doll mark was used of W & Co or W&C with or without a doll mold number. By 1914 Wiefel's manufacturing was shut down because of World War 1 and restarted again in 1918, although it doesn't appear that bisque doll heads were resumed being made until around 1923." The company was renamed in 1923 after Gustav Heubach joined the company as a silent partner and the marks changed. -This is not an antique to skimp on proper packaging. Shipping cost considers

Copy this link into your browser: Thank you for visiting Big Deal's General Store! Pricing considers the condition and scarcity of the item and is set after a review of current market trends. A note regarding offers: Because I cannot be near my phone all the time, my store is set to automatically accept or automatically decline most offers (A general guideline is within 10% of the asking price, but it depends on the item). If you submit an offer, you will get immediate feedback either way and have the opportunity to make multiple offers without having to wait hours or days for a response (Fair Warning: If you haven’t experienced eBay’s automatic offer decline yet, it is very abrupt. Just give it another try). If you do not get an immediate answer, I am checking with the item’s owner for approval and will accept or counter-offer as soon as I hear back. New to eBay?
