Produced from acetal copolymer (aka POM-C), these acetal rods are an economical alternative to Delrin® 150 homopolymer acetal resin. They offer similar wear resistance, but no centerline porosity compared to Delrin® 150. Acetal also has superior hot water resistance and improved impact resistance. Acetal offers excellent dimensional stability providing ideal machining to close tolerances and is often used to make precision gears, bushing, bearings, and rollers. Whenever ‘Delrin’ is called out, it's important to verify if there is a suffix number/abbreviation also referenced.
