Profile Publications Number 126 - The Hawker Sea Fury Published 1966 A book from the Profile Publications, Aircraft, series dedicated to the Hawker Sea Fury, a British single engine naval fighter designed and produced by the aircraft manufacturer Hawker (of Hurricane fame) for the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. It was the last propeller driven fighter to enter operational service with the FAA. Developed during the Second World War, the Sea Fury entered service in 1947, two years after the war ended. It proved to be a popular aircraft with a number of overseas militaries (such as Australia, Canada, the Netherlands) and saw action during the Korean War in the early 1950s. Around 850 Sea Furys were built.. The interior of the book is in excellent condition. The spine is in very good condition, with only minimal signs of wear at the very top and bottom. The staples are excellent, still shiny with no signs of rust. The covers are once again both in excellent condition. Overall the book is easily worth a "very good" rating, and don't forget it's over 55 years old! Hopefully the photos give you an idea of the true quality of the book. The photos were taken just using natural sunlight, the light levels were low, which is why the photos aren't very bright - there is nothing wrong with the colour quality of the book.
