Item/Desc: 1942 Proposed Plan for Coordination of United Nations War Effort -- Military and Civilian Plans; this is a 47 page document (including two charts) that was proposed by H. F. Allen and sent to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In his cover letter to FDR, Allen states, "The problems and accomplishments of the War Production Board have been a matter of particular interest to me....Because of my desire to contribute further to the war effort out of my twenty years of experience in manufacturing problems and productions management, I have spent considerable time over many weeks in the development of a plan to provide some suggestions of a means of establishing the controls and integration necessary to meet the problems of unbalanced production currently arising." Included also are letters to Allen from the War Production Board, Navy Department (Vice Admiral) & Department of State. An address by Soong entitled "Organizing the New World Order For Victory and Peace" is also included. An interesting collection!
