US Scott#189 OG VF 1879 15c Webster, soft paper, brilliant color, ABN issue original gum, previously hinged attractive stamp, soft porous paper, bright color, big margins a couple slightly discolored perfs, otherwise soundMember American Philatelic Society & U.S. Philatelic Classics Society I'm happy to say that my stamp business has continued to grow in recent years. Many new items have been added and new items are being added all the time. I examine all stamps myself. Faults always described. If you aren't sure about the identification of any stamp, let me know, and I will provide additional information. Returns always accepted within 14 days for any reason. Please contact me first.I have recently acquired a number of more high-end collections and will be offering some great stamps here. For more valuable stamps I am happy to work with you if you want to obtain a certificate of authenticity from one of the major philatelic services. Here's what you need to do if you want to get a cert: >> Contact me within 14 days of receiving your stamp that you plan to get a cert. I will give you the extra time needed to complete that activity. I accept certs only from the PF (Philatelic Foundation) or the PSE (Professional Stamp Experts). If the stamp comes back not as described you may return the stamp for a full refund and the cost of the cert. You must return both the stamp and the cert to me. It is important that you contact me before you send the stamp out. No return will be accepted after 14 days unless you have notified me of your intent to certify the stamp within that time period even if the cert comes back negative. Grading is subjective so please judge centering on your own based on the scan. I cannot guarantee that a certificate grade will match my opinion on centering (F,VF, XF, etc).No extension for previously certified stamps.About my scans with the light background: I changed from using black Vario pages to transparent pages. This reduces the handling of stamps to scan the backs and provides truer color. The scans are 1200dpi showing more detail and better color. Other than straightening and cropping, the scans have not been altered in any way.13p6.1
