These blocks are cut approximately 10cm x 10cm x 1cm and come with one face polished. Polishing the other face and four sides can be achieved if needed by using progressively finer grades of wet sandpaper and plastic polish. I include instructions for additional polishing with the scintillators. size or finish. These are virgin "water cooled cut and polished" scintillator blocks. I never use or recommend heat polishing of a scintillator. Cutting and polishing of scintillator plastic can be difficult and costly without proper know-how and equipment. Unless you’re going to build dozens of detectors, buying precut scintillators from me is much cheaper (and easier) than trying to cut, shape and polish it yourself.
